A career marked by training and commitment

Barely a year after joining Onet, Geoffrey Joliot was promoted to team leader, discovering an industry that immediately captivated him.

"We often have a preconceived image of cleaning, but it's a real profession with its own requirements and know-how", he explains.

As of February 2018, he took over responsibility for cleaning activities at the CHR de Mercy in Metz, where he supervised a team of 122 employees and 4 team leaders.

At the same time, he took a one-year in-house regional training course to strengthen his management skills.

In 2019, he will join Onet University's PMO program (Perfectionnement Management Opérationnel), a course that is rich both in terms of teaching and exchanges between employees from different Group entities.

" The training was a very rewarding experience, as it enabled me to acquire solid managerial skills while fostering valuable exchanges with other branches of the Group", he emphasizes.

On completion of this training, his responsibilities were extended to include management of the Thionville hospital in addition to the Metz hospital. At the time, these two establishments accounted for more than half the sales of the Metz Santé branch.

In 2022, he was appointed Operations Manager, before becoming Director of the Metz Santé branch in July 2024.

Onet is a fine company that values skills and invests in employee training.

A strong commitment to the healthcare sector

The healthcare sector represents an exciting challenge for Geoffrey Joliot.
"A hospital is a fast-paced environment, a veritable anthill. There's a strong notion of responsibility and support, which makes this sector very rewarding on a human level,"
he explains.

His role as branch manager is not limited to operational management. For him, being close to his teams is essential.
"We work with men and women, and it's important to stay close to them, to support them, especially during difficult periods like the Covid-19 pandemic",
he confides.

Customer relations are also a major focus of his management.
"Coactivity in large hospitals enables fluid and direct exchanges with our customers, which facilitates responsiveness and service quality",
he adds.
The Metz Santé agency handles customer relations for various health establishments in the region, including those outside its geographical scope, thus guaranteeing rigorous follow-up, even at a distance.

Ambitious plans for the future

Among his many projects, Geoffrey Joliot is particularly determined to make cleaning jobs in the healthcare sector more attractive.

"Our employees have to work long hours, especially on remote sites. We must continue to make progress, by offering more full-time contracts and making daytime working more attractive. This will not only improve our employees' quality of life, but also make our profession more attractive," he asserts.

The future promises to be full of challenges for Geoffrey Joliot, whose career at Onet bears witness to his commitment and vision for the company.
