Training our management team with Agropole d'Agen - Onet

In an environment where food safety requirements are constantly increasing, cleaning companies have to adapt to the specific needs of their customers. The Onet Group has chosen to collaborate with Agropole d'Agen, Europe's largest agri-food cluster, to train our supervisory staff.

Innovative training to ensure food safety

Agropole d'Agen is a key player in supporting start-ups and agri-food businesses. It offers them premises and services, as well as technical and laboratory expertise. We have forged a strategic partnership with Agropole d'Agen to train our managers in food safety.

The main aim of our training course is to raise awareness and provide support for Onet's branch managers, operations managers, QSE managers, sector managers and sales staff working in the agri-food sector. They will acquire in-depth knowledge of the IFS and BRC standards, which are essential for manufacturers wishing to produce for retail brands. These standards enable companies to prove that they comply with the quality and safety standards demanded by retailers. In parallel, participants are also trained in the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) method, which helps identify and control critical points in food production.

A comprehensive program tailored to the needs of managers

Training is provided by 1 Agropole food hygiene and health safety specialist and 2 Onet food industry referents: Jérôme Espinosa and Philippe Cuenot.

Tailor-made, our training courses alternate between theory and practice. Sessions are deliberately limited to 8 or 10 participants, to allow for more in-depth learning and to encourage exchanges with the trainers. An initial assessment in the form of a MCQ is carried out at the start of the course, to determine the participants' initial level. The same test is then offered at the end to measure progress.

The program comprises around 4 hours of theoretical training, followed by field visits. Participants have the opportunity to visit industrial production sites in full operation, enabling them to understand the specific constraints of the agri-food sector. Another visit is also organized during the cleaning service, to provide an insight into cleaning management in this highly sensitive environment. The training emphasizes regulations, health safety constraints and the importance of a production safety culture, in particular with Food Safety Culture and Food Defense.

Food Safety Culture and Food Defense: at the heart of safety issues

A key concept in the food industry, Food Safety Culture covers practices aimed at maintaining healthy environments and avoiding contamination during manufacturing processes. It is a global approach to food safety, focused on the prevention of hygiene risks.

Food Defense is another crucial aspect of training. It focuses on protecting food products against malicious acts, such as unauthorized intrusion, intentional contamination, or the introduction of foreign bodies into food products.

Thanks to this training, our supervisors are better prepared not only to raise awareness among their teams in the field, but also to discuss critical issues with our customers. They are given concrete tools to meet the safety requirements of the agri-food sector.

With this unique training program, Onet is demonstrating its commitment to food safety in the food industry. In partnership with Agropole d'Agen, we are training our management staff in the highest standards of food safety, while providing them with the keys to better support our customers on a daily basis. This project is part of a global approach to continuous improvement and reinforcement of our expertise, for the benefit of both our customers and our teams.
