Freight transport on France's rail network represents over 32 billion tonne KM. It is the 2nd most-used overland network in France, behind road transport.
To access this rail network, your site has an Installation Terminale Embranchée (ITE), also known as an Embranchement Particulier (EP). This ITE enables you to ship or receive goods directly to your site.
Connected Terminal Installations (ITE) or Private Branch (EP) are made up of 2 distinct parts:
- A part belonging to SNCF Réseau, which connects your private network to the national rail network.
- A second part, which is your property and connects your site to your private network.
