3D laser scanning: an Onet Technologies tool for measuring and modelling installations

At the heart of Onet Technologies' Investigations product line, the 3D environmental scanning solution enables our customers to gain in efficiency and improve the measurement of their facilities.
Already used on the complex nuclear facilities of EDF, CEA and Orano, this tool is also applicable in other sectors.

Digitizing the environment in 3D makes it possible to :

• Quickly and accurately take stock of an environment,
• Simplify work and reduce the risk of errors, because no measurement is overlooked,
• Improve design office work and project progress.

Based on Laser Scan or photogrammetry acquisition techniques, Onet Technologies staff can operate on land, in the air or underwater to digitize any installation or any part of an installation (tanks with difficult access, confined spaces, etc.), whether in extreme environments or not.
The technical back-office team then processes the data collected in the form of a point cloud, and transcribes it into a 3D model (also known as a digital twin).
