CSQ nuclear training in detail

The 3-day Complementary Quality Safety course is a complement to the Savoir Commun du Nucléaire level 1 (SCN1)It leads to a training certificate. Focusing more on "nuclear behavior", it includes more practical exercises and enables participants to understand and master all the requirements necessary to carry out a quality activity in complete safety.

This training has been set up in line with the INB decree of February 7, 2012 defining the Policy for the Protection of Interests.

A valid Savoir Commun du Nucléaire level 1 or 2 certificate is a prerequisite for taking the initial CSQ training course.

This training course teaches you how to apply the main safety and intervention quality control levers (PFI, FME, etc.) in the field.

Training objectives

At the end of the training course, trainees will be able to implement the provisions specific to interventions on Elements Important for the Protection of Nuclear Safety Interests (EIPS).

Target audience

The CSQ certificate is valid for 4 years, during which time the trainee may work on a nuclear power plant. After this period, the trainee will have to undergo refresher or initial training, at the employer's discretion.

Teaching objectives - Target skills

At the end of CSQ training, trainees will be able to:

  • Distinguish between the fundamental principles of nuclear safety and the requirements for controlling radiological and non-radiological risks.
  • Distinguish the role of stakeholders in managing unit shutdowns and in terms of nuclear safety and availability.
  • Distinguish between actions under situations that have an impact on maintaining the qualification of Elements Important for Protection in relation to nuclear safety.
  • Implement appropriate behavioral and professional practices, taking into account the challenges of nuclear safety and availability.
