Belgium's National Organization for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials (ONDRAF) selects Onet Technologies for its 5-year framework contract to carry out studies in the field of radioactive waste management.

In future, ONDRAF will award selected companies a number of studies to assess the radiological/physico-chemical characteristics of radioactive waste from Belgian nuclear sites. Other studies relating to the construction of treatment, conditioning and storage facilities for radioactive waste will also be entrusted.

This selection positions Onet Technologies as a key player in this field, covering a wide range of skills in all our technical fields.

The main challenge for Onet Technologies is to support ONDRAF in meeting the requirements of the Belgian nuclear safety authority (AFCN) regarding the inclusion of operational safety aspects in the waste storage concept, and to assess their cost.
