Onet Technologies welcomes a Japanese delegation to its French dismantling projects
We were delighted to welcome a Japanese delegation to France to study the expertise developed by the partnership between Onet Technologies, CEA, IRSN and Bouygues Construction Expertises Nucléaires in the field of dismantling, applied to the challenges of corium recovery from Fukushima Daiichi.
The delegation included members of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), our customer TEPCO, NDF, the Mitsubishi Research Institute, and several professors from universities (Tokyo, Nagoya, Hosei).
They were able to visit several of the laboratories and facilities where Onet Technologies works alongside its partners on METI-funded R&D projects, from Saclay to Cadarache, via Marcoule and Lyon.
The visit also enabled our contacts to visit a number of dismantling and/or waste management projects underway at the CEA Marcoule site, where Onet Technologies deploys its expertise, technologies and field teams to support the CEA in APM, G1 and EIP. We were also able to welcome the delegation to our new site under construction near Marcoule, which will house our laser R&D center in a few months' time.
These visits were an opportunity to highlight Onet Technologies' expertise in the fields of remote operation, nuclear waste management and the management of complex R&D projects, as well as the performance of our laser dismantling solutions.
Thanks to all the organizers for the quality of these visits, and to the members of the delegation for the richness of these exchanges.
