Welding: Two Major Milestones Achieved by the Teams at Onet Technologies

Onet Technologies continues to expand its welding operations with two new developments. First, the company has obtained welding procedure qualification (QMOS) for its AI-driven orbital TIG welding process. Second, it has achieved ISO 3834-2 certification for its reactor engineering and services operations.

QMOS certification obtained for the AI-driven welding process

In early April, the teams at Onet Technologies successfully obtained welding procedure qualification (QMOS) for their AI-driven orbital TIG welding process, in accordance with the requirements of RCC-M, 2018 edition, Level 1.

This certification marks a significant milestone in the development of the process. It validates its use in nuclear piping welding operations and paves the way for its industrialization.

This advancement is part of a broader effort to expand Onet Technologies’ welding expertise. Building on the experience it has gained on the most complex projects within France’s nuclear power plant fleet—particularly in the context of stress corrosion cracking treatment programs—Onet Technologies continues its work to develop solutions that will address the industrial challenges of tomorrow.

Achievement of ISO 3834-2 certification, a testament to our expertise in welding operations

At the same time, Onet Technologies’ Engineering and Reactor Services divisions have obtained ISO 3834-2 certification, an international standard that defines the comprehensive quality requirements applicable to fusion welding operations on metallic materials.

This certification confirms Onet Technologies’ compliance with the quality requirements associated with its welding operations. It is part of our overall strategy to develop and implement high-performance, innovative processes that meet the standards expected by the nuclear industry.

These two complementary steps demonstrate the work carried out by the teams to advance welding practices while ensuring the level of rigor expected in the nuclear industry.

Congratulations to all the teams at Onet Technologies for their hard work in achieving these great collective successes!
