Following the detection of a radioactive source in a steel mill, Onet Technologies carries out clean-up operations
A new outdoor site for our company: the steelworks of Laminés Marchands Européens (BELTRAME group), located in Trith-Saint-Léger (59), chose Onet Technologies for radiological clean-up operations.

Last October, Laminés Marchands Européens (LME) called on Onet Technologies to identify the radioactive source at its steelworks that was causing the alarms, and to determine any possible impact.
Following the detection of caesium 137, the steel mill had to stop production abruptly, and a series of actions to secure, characterize and clean up the site were deployed by our company, in coordination with LME and the authorities.
Onet Technologies has deployed a strict management plan for its remediation and radioactivity measurement operations. As a major player in radiological remediation, our company was able to contribute its expertise by proposing a plan adapted to the industrial environment. The first step was an express clean-up of all incriminated processes, followed by systematic monitoring of radioactivity. These actions enabled a rapid return to regulatory limits.
With over 30 years' experience in this field, our company has been able to mobilize a team specialized in responding to this type of problem, often encountered by manufacturers outside the electronuclear sector.
The Onet Technologies teams responded quickly and decisively, enabling the site to resume operations in January 2022. This is another success for our company, confirming its position as a key operator in the nuclear clean-up and dismantling sector.
