Scuba divers
Scuba divers, our experts in underwater intervention in sensitive environments
At Onet Technologies, divers play a key role in maintenance and technical interventions at nuclear facilities.
Our teams are particularly active in :
- Pools in the reactor or fuel buildings of nuclear power plants
- Sites of major players in the nuclear sector
- Reactor pools in the dismantling phase
- Research centers
Our comprehensive complete :
In concrete terms, this technical expertise translates into a wide range of operations.
- Complex mechanical work,
- Precision underwater welding,
- Meticulous pipe cutting,
- Recovery of submerged objects in difficult conditions,
- In-depth technical inspections of submerged structures.
Each mission is rigorously prepared and subject to strict protocols to guarantee the quality of interventions and the safety of operators.
An optimized
protocol to guarantee safety
Team safety is ensured by strict organization and a clear division of roles. Each intervention is systematically carried out by a team of at least five people, comprising :
- A project manager, responsible for overall coordination,
- An intervention diver, in charge of underwater operations,
- A diver's assistant, to accompany and support the lead diver,
- A rescue diver, ready to intervene immediately in the event of an incident,
- An assistant to the rescue diver, responsible for assistance and management of emergency situations.
This organization is designed to ensure rapid, efficient response to any eventuality, while limiting the risks associated with the environment, equipment and operations themselves.
The benefits for our customers
The use of scuba divers offers many operational and strategic benefits for our partners:
- Strong ability to adapt to sensitive and constrained environments
- Limiting water movements to maintain plant stability and guarantee safe working conditions
- Immediate responsiveness when needed, thanks to on-site human presence
- Substitute the development and management of remotely-operated tooling, thus avoiding heavy and complex investments
