Customer case : Event hospitality: XXL system deployed at Groupama Stadium

Groupama Stadium can accommodate over 60,000 people during concerts. Up to 350 Onet Reception hosts and hostesses can be deployed to welcome some of the spectators. Setting up such arrangements requires meticulous organization, so take a behind-the-scenes look at these recurring services.

An iconic stadium in France and Europe:

Groupama Stadium is the 3rd largest in France in terms of capacity, with over 59,000 seats (stands and curves). The stadium hosts the world's biggest sporting and cultural events. In addition to Olympique Lyonnais matches, Groupama Stadium has also been the venue for numerous concerts (Rihanna, Coldplay, Indochine...).

To manage the flow of people during events with large crowds, the Groupama Stadium calls on Onet Reception to, among other things:

  • Issue accreditations to all Groupama Stadium service providers
  • Facilitate vehicle access to stadium parking lots
  • Ensuring visitor access to the stadium area
  • Guide and accompany people with reduced mobility to the appropriate access points
  • Help screen visitors to the West Stand and South Bend in collaboration with security
  • Place spectators according to ticket instructions

Ensure smooth departure of spectators

Offer visitors the best possible experience :

Onet Reception supervises the spectator experience at Groupama Stadium. Visitors receive comprehensive support to ensure they have the best possible experience.

On arrival at the stadium parking lots, drivers are greeted directly by our hosts, who scan visitors' tickets. Each vehicle is positioned to facilitate parking. Visitors are then directed to the stadium.

On the outskirts of the stadium, lost visitors can be guided by our hosts to find the right door for them. People with reduced mobility can be escorted to dedicated access points.

To gain access to the grandstands, visitors must scan their tickets at the electronic access control. If they encounter any problems during scanning, they can count on the hosts to help them. The hosts are accompanied by Onet Security agents to intervene if necessary. This is the advantage of the hybrid Welcome+Security system we have set up for Groupama Stadium.

Once in the stands, our hosts ensure that spectators are seated as indicated on their tickets. The different areas of the stadium are covered by reception and security staff. This close collaboration between reception and security is essential for visitor safety. The process is reversed when the stadium is evacuated, to ensure the smooth departure of spectators.

Guarantee optimal operational management:

A meticulous organization is put in place for each event to supervise the hosts placed in each zone. The service is managed by Vanessa Malisz Leheux, operations manager Onet Reception, Cyril Lombardo, general coordinator (CG) and David Guigard, general coordinator.

On the big day, our customer brings the GCs together for a briefing to detail the organization of the system. The GCs ensure that the customer's instructions are carried out during the event. They are accompanied by two deputy general coordinators (CGA) to supervise the grandstand and parking areas in particular.

The CGAs are responsible for relaying the information to local staff, who brief the hosts directly in the field. In all, more than twenty coordinators can be mobilized, depending on the scale of the event. At every level of the organization, briefings are given to ensure that all our staff are fully operational in all circumstances.

During the event, all coordinators (CG/CGA/local coordinators) can communicate via walkie-talkies. In the event of an incident, the host(s) can inform their coordinator, who will relay the information directly to the appropriate contact.

The coordinators are experienced and have in-depth knowledge of the stadium's architecture. They are essential to the smooth running of the service.

Accreditation management for all service providers:

Onet Reception also manages the Groupama Stadium service provider parking lot, where employees working on the site can be found. Depending on their assignment, employees require specific accreditation. Our hosts are responsible for distributing all necessary accreditations in advance of the event.

Increased recruitment capacity to sustain the service:

Onet Reception has a substantial pool of over 700 hosts in the Lyon area. This pool is essential to guarantee the continuity of our services throughout the year.

 

To strengthen this pool, recruitment sessions and job dating events are organized on a regular basis, particularly during the off-season and in October and May. The main selection criteria are interpersonal skills, communication skills and punctuality.
