Protecting sites, visitors and works of art:

With over 20,000 visitors a day and unique works of art, the proximity of the public to these cultural treasures generates significant risks.

The Centre Pompidou has asked Onet Security to carry out the following tasks:

  • Facilitate safe visitor access to sites open to the public
  • Control access to restricted areas and prevent the presence of illicit objects
  • Monitor and intervene in the event of a proven threat
  • Ensuring fire safety at the Conservation Center
  • Contributing to the conservation of works of art
  • Working effectively with the internal security department
  • Supporting the Centre Pompidou in securing events

Making art and culture safely accessible :

A dozensecurity guards monitor and filter access to the various public areas of the Centre Pompidou: the Musée national d'art moderne, the Atelier Brancusi, Restaurant Georges, the Bibliothèque publique d'information, the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique, the Bibliothèque Kandinsky...

Depending on their assignment, our agents may be involved in remote surveillance or work closely with the Centre Pompidou's reception service to control restricted access.

Additional staff can be mobilized during set-up and dismantling of new exhibitions.

Preserving cultural treasures from time and malicious acts:

Every day and without interruption, 17 SSIAP agents take turns to guarantee the fire safety of the conservation center. They carry out surveillance rounds to check: the SSI (Fire Safety Systems), the temperature of rooms dedicated to the conservation of works of art, access to emergency exits...

At the same time, a dozen agents monitor the various access points to the warehouse and carry out screening missions, particularly when new works are delivered.

A constantly evolving security system:

The security system changes periodically to take account of peak visitor numbers at the Centre Pompidou.

Onet Security also supports the Centre Pompidou during cultural, festive and private events, etc. organized within the Centre, by developing customized human security services.

Efficient, responsive management of customer requirements

Services at all sites are supervised by a single site manager, who for the past 12 years has been coordinating all services with the Centre Pompidou: allocation of staff, additional services, activity reports, etc.

According to José Lopes, head of security at the Centre Pompidou, "Calling on Onet Security is a guarantee of reliability. It's the assurance that the services will be well carried out and sustainable over time. On a day-to-day basis, Onet's management team is highly responsive to changes in the services and solutions offered."

It's a flagship service for Agence Onet's director Jonathan Vermot, as he explains: "We've been present at the Centre Pompidou since 2019. Our customer relationship has grown stronger over the years and through our exchanges. The quality of our service is recognized thanks to the commitment of our teams and management. In 2024, given the new security challenges, the system will certainly need to be developed in co-construction with our customer".
