Shopping center: Onet teams disinfect and clean Auchan Grand Epagny

For the past 6 years, Onet Propreté & Services teams specializing in commercial premises maintenance at the Annecy branch have been providing cleaning services for the various areas of the Auchan Grand Epagny shopping center.

Since the beginning of the health crisis, our staff have been more than ever mobilized to implement protocols and precautionary measures for the supermarket's staff and customers. Customer areas, employee areas, trolleys, public toilets... everything is disinfected on a daily basis!

The usual services for this large, busy venue

The Aushopping Auchan Epagny shopping center covers some 20,000 m2.

Onet's teams clean the entire hypermarket: the gallery aisles, public toilets, parking areas and the 30 cart shelters. The missions are based on cleaning these areas before opening, with ongoing maintenance throughout the day. For example, the rebalancing of shopping carts in the appropriate areas is carried out several times a day.

Other, larger-scale missions, such as the total disinfection of shopping carts, are carried out several times a year. But the health crisis has forced teams to rethink the way they carry out their day-to-day tasks, during containment and decontamination.

Do everything possible to ensure business continuity during containment...

During the containment period, supermarkets and hypermarkets remained open to the public. Only the Auchan Épagny shopping mall was closed.

For almost 2 months, in order to respect social distancing and regulate flows, only one entrance was accessible to customers. Carts were therefore distributed among the 4 shelters in the immediate vicinity of the entrance, with systematic disinfection from 10am to 8pm. 

With the mall closed, the hours of cleaning duty were used to disinfect the premises reserved for the 400 Auchan employees (break room, offices, toilets, changing rooms, etc.) 4 times a day.

Services in the hypermarket area have remained unchanged, and the Auchan Group has made hydroalcoholic gels available in the checkout areas.

... And ensure disinfection at deconfinement time

Since May 11, the entire mall and its grounds have been reopened.

The challenge: to maintain an optimum level of disinfection on a daily basis for the center's employees and customers.

Auchan & Onet teams have set up protocols to maintain a high level of disinfection. Every day, all 18 caddy shelters are disinfected with a solution that is sprayed and then rinsed. During the day, each time the caddies are replenished, the handles are also disinfected.

To carry out all these missions, Onet's teams will be strengthened to some thirty agents (25 agents under normal circumstances).
