Dive into a site at the heart of current events with Onet Security

The Institut hospitalo-universitaire Méditerranée Infection , headed by the renowned Professor Raoult, is one of the customer sites on the front line of Covid-19. The health crisis has had a major impact on our day-to-day operations. Our teams have adapted nimbly to this new context to ensure safety and security on site.

An immediate response to the urgency of the situation

This health crisis requires us to adapt at every moment and reinvent existing systems.

Head office, regional offices, agencies... the entire Onet Security chain is in constant contact with customer sites, assessing the situation on a daily basis and providing all necessary solutions.
Reinforcing teams, modifying schedules, new areas of intervention... In the field, our teams are committed to adapting to the new needs of customer sites.

A customer site at the heart of current events

Dedicated to the diagnosis, management and study of infectious diseases (the world's leading cause of death, with 17 million deaths a year), the Institut Hospitalier Universitaire Méditerranée Infection has been headed since 2011 by the renowned Professor Raoult.

Specially designed to prevent and manage epidemic crises, this 27,000 m² building, the only one of its kind in Europe, houses a laboratory for handling highly pathogenic micro-organisms and samples classified as NSB3, 3 units with 25 hospital beds, including a very high-level isolation unit, an autopsy room, 4 National Reference Centers and some 700 employees (nurses, lecturers, students, etc.).

Since December 2016, L'Agence Onet Security Marseille 1 has been in charge of the site's fire and security missions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A contract concluded within the framework of the partnership between UGAP (Union des Groupements d'Achats Publics) and Onet Security, in the field of "Human security services on sensitive and non-sensitive sites, with ancillary supplies and services".

Facing up to Covid-19

Since the beginning of the health crisis, our agents have been heavily mobilized.

Professor Raoult and his teams have come out in favor of a massive testing policy.

For several weeks now, people have been arriving in droves in the hope of being tested, and the queue outside the ultra-modern premises of Marseille's IHU continues to grow.

" The queue of potentially ill patients is endless. On the street, it goes so far that you can't see the end of it ," stressessecurity guard Rachid A., who ensures that safety distances between patients are respected, and also looks after the safety of the nursing staff.

" With the customer's agreement, we modified the schedule. In addition, we twice reinforced the existing team," explains Joseph Roscio, Marseille1 Agency Manager.

Monitoring, securing and welcoming stretcher-bearers

Mourad B: "I make sure everything's okay in the hall. Sometimes affected patients come out of their rooms and we have to call the care department. Here, we've just received the courier who's just dropped off blood samples. "

" The courage and motivation of our agents in these very difficult times can only make us proud. For my part, I've been honored to manage men and women of this quality for 18 months now," declares Joseph Roscio.

As proof of the tremendous work accomplished by these agents, in mid-April the Marseille1 branch was contacted by Professor Fournier himself.

A medical biologist, he is a member of Professor Raoult's team and heads up the IHU's molecular diagnostics platform. In the fight against the coronavirus, his role is to ensure the "safety" of "all patients and caregivers", notably by providing the necessary equipment and testing materials.

On behalf of Professor Raoult and the entire IHU team, Professor Fournier paid tribute to the work and dedication of Onet Security staff since the start of the crisis. He underlined the great interpersonal skills of these men and women, and their perfect mastery of their missions.

A big thank you to Florence, Doura, Mourad and Mourad, Yacine, Mohamed, Eric, Sebastien, Steve, Jean-Marc, Habib and Rachid... who work hard every day to maintain optimal safety and security conditions at the IHU Marseille.

Fire safety and personal assistance

Trained in site-specific risks, such as NSB3 (Biological Safety Level 3, highly pathogenic agents), SSIAP (Service Sécurité Incendie et Assistance aux Personnes) agents are responsible for fire prevention (responding to outbreaks of fire, evacuating the public, etc.), personal assistance, receiving emergency services such as stretcher-bearers, managing the PCI (Poste de Commandement Incendie) and maintaining emergency equipment.

Safety Department

Security Service agents are dedicated to site surveillance. Their in-depth knowledge of the site enables them to carry out day-to-day tasks such as flow management, staff vehicle entry/exit, detection of alarms, conflict management, etc.
