What is event security?
Event security is about ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and volunteers at an event. It includes risk prevention, planning and response to potential threats, such as crowd movements, fires, intrusions and malicious acts.
What do event security guards do?
The role of the event security officer is to deploy on site the recommendations identified upstream by the risk audit.
He or she may be in charge of crowd control, such as entering and leaving the site, checking tickets, but also access to the different areas of the event (traffic and parking). Overall, the agent ensures that your event runs smoothly.
The security guard will of course be on hand to intervene in the event of an incident.
