Strengthening access and data security at Decathlon's financial headquarters
Located in Lille, Decathlon's global financial headquarters covers more than 7,200 m² and is home to more than 900 employees. It groups together all the services provided by the finance department: consolidation of the financial results of the Group's various entities in France and abroad, management control, reporting operations...
A veritable nerve center, it also houses an essential digital hub dedicated to the management of Decathlon software and applications, particularly for online sales. Protecting access and securing data on this tertiary site is therefore an absolute priority.
An in-depth audit to identify vulnerabilities in the existing access control and anti-intrusion system
Onet Security began by carrying out an in-depth audit of the existing installations, with the aim of detecting any anomalies: database conflicts, limited system coverage, obsolete video server, malfunctions...
Following this observation,Onet Security 's design office proposed an appropriate technical solution to modernize its electronic security system, while retaining the equipment that was still functional, thus limiting installation costs.
During the audit, we took an in-depth look at the electronic security infrastructures. It was a real mark of confidence on Decathlon's part to allow us to intervene directly on their access control and anti-intrusion system. After identifying the problem areas and presenting our solution, the customer listened attentively and fully endorsed our proposal.
Integration and installation of the technical electronic security solution by Onet Security teams
Before integrating new technologies, we worked closely with Decathlon on the system architecture and the security scenarios to be anticipated. We had to define the different levels of access, the roles and responsibilities of each person, as well as the secure zones to be protected. This co-construction process enabled us to clearly define security priorities and optimize access management according to the site's specific needs.
The technical team corrected and restructured the user database, including extracting, updating and synchronizing the healthy database with Decathlon's new IT server.
The system was modernized with the integration of the latest version of Tillys Cube, TIL TECHNOLOGIES' PLCs for supervising access control and anti-intrusion peripherals. This change involved the replacement of electronic boards and concentrators.
A dynamic supervisor based on the site's architecture has also been deployed, offering a clear, intuitive interface with all the electronic security equipment installed.
The technical teams configured the TIL TECHNOLOGIES supervision software, taking over site plans, placing peripherals, encoding system functions, etc. New detection points were added to extend the system's coverage. The video server was also replaced to provide more robust surveillance.
The intervention took place on an occupied site, requiring a progressive approach and "on/off" operation in the agency before final deployment at the customer's site. This methodology made it possible to guarantee operational continuity without interrupting business activities.
Finally, training was provided to on-site teams to ensure optimal, autonomous use of the new system.
