Commercial success: a new "PGAC DP2D" contract at the Creys-Malville site for Onet Technologies
The year 2021 ended on a high note for Onet Technologies' SAEO business (Support for Operators), leader of the GMES (Groupement Momentané d'Entreprises Solidaires) with Netman and Altrad as partners: the award, by EDF DP2D (Direction des Projets Déconstruction-Déchets) of a "Prestation Globale d'Assistance Chantier" contract specifically for Creys-Malville for the period 2022-2027.
The Creys-Malville site in the Isère region of France is home to Superphénix, a reactor that was shut down permanently in December 1998 and is currently being deconstructed.
A wide range of skills
Since January1, 2022, Onet Technologies, in collaboration with its partners Netman and Altrad, has been responsible for managing logistics, waste management, handling, radiation protection, risk prevention, issuing Prevention Plans, warehouse management, setting up access equipment (scaffolding), industrial cleaning in radiological environments and linen chain management.
It is in these different areas of expertise that some twenty employees are tasked with responding to the requests of customers and service providers working on this dismantling site.
This success confirms the ability of Onet Technologies' Operations Agency to meet EDF's day-to-day needs through SAEO, whether at sites under production, construction or decommissioning.
A service based on three distinct business lines
For this contract, Onet Technologies made the differentiating choice of offering a service covering all services (radiation protection, risk prevention, waste packaging, logistics, handling, scaffolding assembly, etc.) within a single organization, based on three business lines:
- Facilitating logistics This is an operational interface in the field, providing advice and support for companies working on site. The interface delivers solutions adapted to daily loads, for handling and packing activities (flow logistics), but also for waste and scaffolding activities (for which one of our partners is the specialist). Facilitating logistics is managed by a site manager, in contact with three activity managers (flow, waste, scaffolding).
- Risk managementRadiation protection and risk prevention: Onet Technologies deploys a team of radiation protection and risk prevention technicians to support and advise companies working on site. It also provides a permanent one-stop service to handle all requests for work and nuclear logistics. The "Guichet Unique" also provides support in drawing up Prevention Plans. An activity manager is in charge of this activity line.
- Support pool: Our company provides warehousing services, particularly in nuclear environments (tool stores in controlled areas, receiving at relay stores, stock management, inventories, etc.) and industrial cleaning/linen management (in tandem with our usual partner in this field). The support pool is also managed by an activity manager.
These three lines of expertise are led by José Sequeira, as Site Manager of the Creys-Malville "PGAC DP2D". He has significant experience of the Creys-Malville site, having worked there for ten years as Site Manager on a Multi-Service Contract. He is therefore perfectly familiar with the plant and its operating methods, which will help him to adapt to the constraints and requirements of the new contract.
A Q3SER (Quality Safety Health Environment Radiation Protection) correspondent, reporting directly to the Site Manager, has also been hired under this new contract. This correspondent will be responsible for all Q3SER-related skills, as well as for ADR (transport of hazardous materials) issues.
A comprehensive offering that made all the difference for our customer
EDF DP2D's confidence in us is largely due to our broad range of skills, our clear organization and the deployment of innovative tools.
In terms of skills and organization, Onet Technologies meets EDF's needs on a daily basis at sites under production, construction or dismantling. 80% of our employees on the contract were already on site: they were thus integrated into the "PGAC DP2D" contract and are already autonomous in the technical skills required.
The organization proposed by Onet Technologies is clear, and the experience of the Site Manager reassured our customer, as did the presence of technical referents in each of the activity lines, which enabled EDF-DP2D to have privileged contacts for the various trades involved.
The proximity of our Saint-Vulbas branch and our PGAC workers in Bugey is also a factor in our favor. In fact, our company has a pool of skills and resources that can be mobilized when needed.
Last but not least, our SAEO experience on the various sites and our maturity in PGAC, with 6 contracts currently awarded by EDF-DPN (Blayais, Golfech, Bugey, Flamanville, Saint-Laurent des Eaux and Tricastin), were all arguments that weighed in the balance.
In terms of tools, Onet Technologies stands out for its one-stop shop, which provides an interface with the business units. Our innovative digital tools (Planet, Origami...) also facilitate the preparation, establishment and optimized follow-up of activities and action plans, and thus the operational excellence of the service.
