Customer story: Onet secures 3 cancer centers
Onet provides ongoing safety and security for 3 Unicancer facilities: the Antoine Lacassagne Center, the Institut Méditerranéen de Proton Thérapie Haute Energie, and the Maison d'Accueil Hospitalière la Consolata. These centers welcome over 6,200 patients a year, and employ 900 people.
Safety: a key issue for healthcare facilities
Unicancer is the only French hospital network 100% dedicated to oncology, with more than 18 cancer centers. Here are the establishments secured by Onet:
- The Centre Antoine Lacassagne is a Type U hospital providing care, research and teaching in the field of oncology.
- The Institut Méditerranéen de Proton Thérapie Haute Energie (IMPT) is a U-type ERT providing cancer treatment using a specific radiotherapy technique based on proton beams. The machines used for treatment are state-of-the-art.
- The Maison d'Accueil Hospitalière la Consolata is a type 0 ERP whose mission is to accommodate patients undergoing treatment at the Antoine Lacassagne Center and the IMPT.
Intrusion into buildings, fire outbreaks on technical installations and structures, vandalism of pharmacies, exposure to radioactive and chemical products: these are the main risks that can compromise the smooth running of Unicancer facilities.
The Antoine Lacassagne center is located on the outskirts of the CHU de Nice, the main university hospital in the Alpes-Maritimes region. This is a highly sensitive area, requiring increased protection of the various access points to the site.
A tailor-made system to guarantee site protection:
The main tasks carried out by agents Onet Security :
- Prohibit all unauthorized access to the site's perimeter, perimeter and volume.
- Filter and control incoming and outgoing flows on sites
- Protect people and property from internal and external threats
- Manage safety, SSI and technical alarms
- Respond quickly to incipient fires to prevent damage to proton therapy devices, which can compromise patient treatment.

- Keeping emergency equipment and SSI systems operational
For the Lacassagne center and the IMPT, most Onet agents have SSIAP 1 training, enabling them to carry out safety and security missions. The versatility of our agents helps to reduce the risk of shift fatigue, thanks to regular shift rotations, and to increase operational efficiency in the event of an incident. They also supervise the security control center: alarm management (technical, anti-intrusion, fire), maintenance of SSI equipment on the sites, video surveillance rounds, etc. Screening agents reinforce this system to control access to the sites. Agents are supervised by a SSIAP 2 team leader.
Onet also provides reception and security services for the Maison d'Accueil Hospitalière. Hosts and hostesses welcome patients from 4pm to 10pm. Outside secretarial opening hours, a security guard watches over the 20-room hospital reception center. TheOnet Reception and Security teams are used to working closely together. This synergy optimizes service management, thanks to a single point of contact.
Regular monitoring of the service and a system that can be adjusted according to the site's activity:
Every month, a follow-up committee meeting is held between Onet Security management and our customer to discuss site activity and upcoming deadlines. Depending on peaks in site activity or potential threats, the system can be reinforced, as is currently the case with the Vigipirate "reinforced security - risk of attack" plan.
