Improving dialogue on hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace to enhance well-being
How can cleanliness contribute to a better quality of life in everyday places, and particularly in the workplace? Long before the Covid-19 pandemic, Onet was studying this essential question to better understand customer satisfaction. Studies conducted jointly with Ipsos since 2018 confirm the feeling of our teams in the field: cleanliness has a direct influence on the well-being and motivation of employees. To deepen this analysis, Onet Cleaning and Associated Services is developing a range of tools aimed at end-users, inviting them to engage in dialogue about hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace.
Employee well-being recognized as a performance factor
A study by Harvard University researchers, analyzing 36 corporate wellness programs, found that for every dollar invested, corporate costs related to absenteeism fell by $2.73. A meta-analysis of 42 corporate wellness studies also showed a 25% reduction in sick leave and absenteeism, a 25% drop in healthcare costs, and a 32% reduction in disability costs and compensation.
Changing working patterns (open, flex office, hybrid working, etc.) and employer brand issues, which have become unavoidable since the health crisis, make our customers particularly attentive to the well-being of their employees. At Onet, we have been studying this subject for many years, and see on a daily basis that employee well-being, of which the perception of cleanliness is an integral part, is now recognized as an essential factor in overall performance.
User experience at the heart of our approach
At the end of the pandemic period, a major issue for employees is quality of life at work. They now pay more attention to office space, and the quality of relations with colleagues and managers. Another priority for them is the hybridization of work, alternating telecommuting and face-to-face work whenever possible. They also express expectations regarding changes in work rhythms to better reconcile personal and professional life, with, for example, a four-day week or flexible working hours. These new ways of working have become major challenges for companies seeking to attract and retain talent.
An animation program to encourage end-users to talk about cleanliness.
To improve the user experience while meeting the challenges of buyers, Onet encourages communication with visitors, customers and employees occupying offices to encourage dialogue on the subject of hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace. Our teams keep them informed about the services they can benefit from, thus enhancing the value of our customers' choice to work with a cleaning service provider committed to their well-being.
Awareness-raising videos, posters and quizzes
Onet propreté et services has teamed up with influencer Bgin Clean to produce a series of videos featuring tips and tricks for living cleanly at work. These videos raise occupants' awareness of the importance of cleanliness in the workplace, while offering them best practices for living it better on a daily basis, with respect for others and for service agents.
We have also created a collection of awareness-raising posters to bring the subject of cleanliness to life on the premises of our corporate customers.

An interactive quiz also enables employees to discover their " cleanliness profile " at work. Whether they are hypersensitive, pragmatic, demanding, detached or good students, everyone can identify their cleanliness profile and learn tips and tricks to help them live cleanliness better together at work.
Concrete action from the first day of service
In the days following the start of our service, our teams post a notice in the form of an easel or poster. This communication medium contains all the practical information needed for a better understanding of our interventions. We cover key topics such as the use of biotechnology-based products to protect the health of occupants, the dos and don'ts of our cleaners, the scope of our services and a contact in the event of a problem.
An integrated QR code provides direct access to our satisfaction survey, giving end-users a simple way of expressing their views on our services. The data collected is then analyzed and presented to the client company to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Adapting our approach to end-user feedback
The survey, carried out on a regular basis, assesses the satisfaction of users of our services by inviting them to rank the most important places in terms of cleanliness and to express suggestions.
Our aim is to guarantee a feeling of comfort and well-being for occupants by exploring all avenues for improvement in consultation with our customers.
Knowing that 92% of employees feel they perform better in a clean, well-organized space (Ipsos-Onet 2021 study), it's clear that cleanliness is no longer perceived as a simple commodity purchase, but as a strategic lever for improving overall company performance. The commitment of employees and the company to a continuous improvement approach is thus becoming a key factor in promoting well-being, motivation and productivity.
